Over the past few weeks, I’ve been grinding, from coast to coast, in the recording studio! I am pleased to announce that I have ten unique and exciting songs finished! I am eager to share them with all of you once they are mixed, mastered and ready for the airwaves. Trust me…they are hit-tastic! Classic Stephanie K– edgy, sassy, pop/rock with enticing lyrics and driving, hypnotic beats! You’ll even get to see a softer side of me on a new ballad!
Many thanks to Trend Def in Los Angeles (who have worked with the likes of Lady Gaga, Paris Hilton and Linkin Park, to name a few) for their hospitality while I was on the West Coast! And, as always, my gratitude to all of the great musicians and studios who have had me on the East Coast and the Detroit area, including Grammy-Award winning Producer Michael J. Powell. I have enjoyed working with all of you and I can’t wait to let the world hear these tracks!
Get ready. You’re gonna love this stuff!
On Thursday, March 13, I was thrilled and honored to play with my band at Bourbon Girl for the RedGorilla Musicfest as part of SXSW! Bourbon Girl, a venue located in the heart of 6th street in Austin amidst all the action, was PACKED! The crowd was incredibly receptive during our set, which started at 10 pm. It was an incredible experience to be a featured artist in such an exclusive and world-famous music festival and to perform alongside such accomplished and famous artists.
Thanks to everyone who came out to our show! The “encore” chants and all of the compliments and kind words from concert goers, fan and press alike, were very much appreciated.
I am glad people so enjoyed my live show and I look forward to many more performances this year!
On Friday, March 7, I had the pleasure of singing the national anthem at the sold-out Boston Celtics vs Brooklyn Nets game for the return of Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett to the TD Bank Garden in Boston. The crowd was enthusiastic and very welcoming! I was even stopped by several members of the Celtics staff to comment me on an amazing job (including head coach Brad Stevens)!
Thank you to the Celtics Organization for having me fly out for this special event! And thanks to all of the amazing fans who greeted me with such kind words and compliments!
Two of my favorite things: music and basketball.
Apparently, people enjoy hearing me sing about seeking revenge on an unfaithful boyfriend. Ever wanted to crash his Porsche or rack up a ton of Louis Vuitton, Prada and Versace charges on his credit card? We all have. And that’s the subject matter for my song “Breaking Up.”
I have been informed that “Breaking Up” is a semi-finalist in the very prestigious International Songwriting Competition! This year’s contest saw almost 19,000 entries from over 100 different countries. I am extremely flattered and thrilled.
Let’s hope it wins the whole thing!
In less than two weeks, the music video for “Twisted” has amassed more than 141,000 views! WOW!
I see how it is…everybody likes seeing me as a crazy, obsessive, stalker, girlfriend wielding a knife with murderous tendencies. Seems fitting!
Thanks to everyone who has watched the video! Please continue to share, retweet and post so we can get those numbers even HIGHER!
